COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO – U.S. Paralympics Swimming today announced the media application and registration process for the 2024 U.S. Paralympic Team Trials – Swimming.

The three-day competition, set for June 27-29, 2024, will be the sole method of qualification for U.S. swimmers to make the roster for the Paralympic Games Paris 2024. For the second consecutive quad, the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota will host the trials.

The nation’s biggest names in Para swimming are expected to compete in Minneapolis to vie for Paralympic roster spots. Among the top athletes expected to race are 29-time Paralympic medalist Jessica Long (Baltimore, Maryland) and Paralympic champions Morgan Stickney (Raleigh, North Carolina), McKenzie Coan (Clarkesville, Georgia), Elizabeth Marks (Colorado Springs, Colorado) and Evan Austin (Terre Haute, Indiana).

2020 Paralympian Summer Schmit (Stillwater, Minnesota), who also competes for University of Minnesota, will have home field advantage as she seeks her second Paralympic berth.

Making the U.S. Paralympic team for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games was a dream come true,” Schmit told Team USA last summer. “I am excited to once again compete for a spot to represent Team USA during the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. To do so in front of family and friends in my home state of Minnesota is truly an honor.”
