COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – U.S. Paralympics Swimming will host the 2026 Para Pan American Pacific Championships for the second time since the event’s debut in 2011. The international championship is scheduled to take place Aug. 28-30, at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California.

“Mt. San Antonio College is honored to host the 2026 Para Pan American Pacific Championships, a world-class event that reflects our long-standing connection to the Olympic and Paralympic Movement and our commitment to equity and inclusion," said Mt. SAC President Dr. Martha Garcia. "Hosting these championships creates meaningful opportunities for our students, staff and community to engage with and welcome exceptional athletes to our campus, while allowing us to proudly support their journey toward the LA28 Paralympic Games and showcase the heart of the Mt. SAC community on an international stage.”

The Para Pan Pacific Championships is an international Paralympic swimming competition featuring athletes with physical, visual and intellectual impairments. The event operates under current World Para Swimming rules and regulations and was developed under a charter between Australia, Canada, Japan and the United States. First held in 2011, the meet mirrors the structure and intent of the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships with able-bodied athletes by providing a championship-caliber competition in years that do not include the Paralympic Games or World Para Swimming Championships.

“This is a significant moment for Para swimming in the U.S.,” said Amanda Duke Boulet, Director, U.S. Paralympics Swimming. “Hosting the Para Pan Pacs on U.S. soil again for the first time in more than a decade underscores our commitment to providing world-class competitive opportunities for Para swimmers and strengthening international collaboration within the sport. This event also plays a critical role in athlete development during a non-Paralympic, non-world championship year.”

Held between major global events, the Para Pan Pacific Championships offers valuable competitive experience for emerging and veteran athletes alike.

Additional information, including venue details, classification schedules, and live stream access, will be announced in the coming months.
