COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO –U.S. Paralympics Swimming today announced the 20 athletes – 13 women and seven men – named to the U.S. roster for the 2025 Para Swimming World Championships, set for Sept. 21-27 in Singapore. The team features multiple Paralympic and world champions, highlighting the depth of the national program as it rounds out the first year of the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic quad.

“We’re incredibly proud of this team and excited to see them represent the U.S. in Singapore,” Amanda Duke Boulet, Director of U.S. Paralympics Swimming, said. “This roster reflects both the strength of our veteran leadership and the exciting promise of our rising stars. The world championships are a critical step as we build toward a Paralympic Games on home soil.”

After each setting multiple world records at the 2024 Para Swimming World Series, which served as the qualification event for world championships, Paralympic champion Leanne Smith (Salem, Massachusetts) and newcomer Katie Kubiak (Mequon, Wisconsin) headline the 2025 roster. Smith is coming off the most successful Paralympic Games of her career – she won four of her five career Paralympic medals in Paris, including two golds. She has since switched up her training routine and is already bettering her Paris times in the first year of the quad. Kubiak, meanwhile, is set for her world championships debut after setting world records in the women’s 150-meter individual medley SM4 and the 100-meter freestyle S4.

The most decorated athlete on the roster, 29-time Paralympic medalist Jessica Long (Baltimore, Maryland) returns to the world stage for her ninth world championships. Arguably the most dominant Para swimmer in the past two decades, Long has amassed an unprecedented 54 career world championships medals and will look to add to that total in Singapore.

Other Paralympic champions making the team include Olivia Chambers (Little Rock, Arkansas), Gia Pergolini (Atlanta, Georgia), Christie Raleigh Crossley (Toms River, New Jersey), Morgan Stickney (Cary, North Carolina) and Mallory Weggemann (Eagan, Minnesota). Paralympic medalists Julia Gaffney (Mayflower, Arkansas), Noah Jaffe (Carlsbad, California), Ahalya Lettenberger (Glen Ellyn, Illinois), Morgan Ray (St. Augustine, Florida) and Zach Shattuck (Mt. Airy, Maryland) also return to the world championships stage.

Making their world championships debuts alongside Kubiak are Paralympians Keegan Knott (Lake Villa, Illinois), Grace Nuhfer (Greenwood, Indiana), Evan Wilkerson (Wake Forest, North Carolina) and Taylor Winnett (Hershey, Pennsylvania), as well as newcomers to the world stage Koehn Boyd (Ramsey, Minnesota), Aiden Stivers (Fortville, Indiana) and Adin Williams (Happy Valley, Oregon).

The 2025 world championships mark the final major international competition in 2025 and are expected to feature more than 600 athletes from over 60 countries.
